We were once disobedient to God. We are saved now only because of God’s grace, kindness, and mercy.
We have to appreciate Paul’s passion for his people. He’s trying to use even envy to motivate them towards salvation (v 14).
I am amazed at God’s passion for the people of Israel. I thank God for by His grace I am like the the wild olive shoot that is thriving, I should not boast but must be aware of the severity of my consequences if I do not continue in His goodness and always remember that in the end His supremacy reigns.
For all things were created by him, and all things exist through him and for him. To God be the glory for ever!

Israel has experienced hardening until the full number of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be saved – God’s zeal for his people.
It is a great thing to know about Gods mercy , knowledge and grace . Verse 20 be not high minded but fear . We cannot judge others by their unbelief because if god will is there to change the people he could change them into faithfulness . Here we could see Paul’s soul winning mind it leads towards the salvation . Let’s we focus more and stay in a humble thoughts .
Is this still true that people live in Israel or the Jews are to be called His people and He loves more of them than us? We read in Romans 10:12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek , for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him.
In the radio once I heard an argument for God. The questioner asked the Rabbi,” is there any proof that God exists without the Bible? I don’t want this or that verse, this or that interpretation. Just tell me in one word”.The rabbi replied, ” Israel”.
The fact that Israel exists is quite simply a miracle. Historically they have survived Egyptians, Babylonians, Assyrians, Greek, Romans, and more recently Germans. These empires are long gone and vanished ( no one even remembers how or what a Roman emperor looked like) with no match for ” little” Israel. They have a staying power. similarly, Romans 11:1 says ” has God rejected his own people? No way. Proof: Paul’s conversion.
What does this all mean? God is faithful to His people. He will not abandon us. (v. 2). He will use the remnant to expand His Grace. So that “to him be the glory forever”.
v. 18 do not consider yourself as superior to other branches. If you do, consider this: you do not support the root, but the root supports you.
-We did not chose Him, but He chose us (John 15:16). What a privilege we have!
-By the grace of God I am what I am (1 Cor 15:10). We should not boast ourselves at any time!
