Psalm 5: Our God does not delight in wickedness, but He blesses the righteous (vv. 4, 12). “Lead me, O Lord, in your righteousness” (v. 8). Amen!

Psalm 5: V(3)-My voice you shall hear in the morning: David made it a point to pray in the morning. He did this because he wanted to honor God at the beginning of his day. Let’s also start our day with prayer..V(11)-Let all those rejoice who put their trust in you: When we trust in our Lord,we can rejoice and be joyful in the Lord even when our enemies are near. Thankyou Lord for giving me this promise.
Our God is a prayer-hearing God and prayer answering God. David prayed that God would guide him and prayed for all the Lord’s people that God would give them joy and keep them safe V(7-12). Let us pray not only for ourselves but for others too.

Psalms 5:(V3)In the morning Lord, you hear my voice, in the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly.
It is good to start our day with a prayer, and to wait and trust in the Lord. David laid up his requests to God and he waited watchfully.
Let our prayers and praises be directed to our Lord. We need to have the hope and wait patiently for the answer. We need to seek him earnestly. He rewards those who earnestly seek him.

Swallowing throat vs Singing throatPoets use words. But here he is stuck. It is hard to miss v1,2, the psalmist is asking God to hear ” my cry”, ” voice ( sound Esv) if my prayer”, ” my groaning”… His throat is stuck for words. Dry. But he keeps pleading.
God gives us his ear not just for our words from tongue but our deep inner ” roar” even when we are stuck for words.
But his enemies though “throat like open grave”. Always taking in but never bringing forth. Swallowing and feeling are kept inside and buried.

Psalm 5: Be glad, sing for joy, rejoice (v. 11)…delight and not duty

In the morning, i will direct my prayers unto thee and will look up, v 5:3

We should ask God to guide us on a straight path filled with righteousness because we live in a very wicked world (v. 8)

In the morning we should delight the word of God and follow his righteous path. Because God doesn’t delight in wickedness. Therefore we should be Glad and Rejoice in the word of God and seek him whole heartily!

We live in a wicked world. We have to work on constantly to keep our inner man pure. The God who live within us is Greater than who live outside. We have to continuously evaluate ourselves especially our feelings and thoughts

“Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies— make your way straight before me.”‭‭Psalm‬ ‭5:8
That means that we should pray to God to lead us in the right and holy path away from wickedness.

உம்மில் அடைக்கலம் புகுவோர் யாவரும் சந்தோஷித்து, எந்நாளும் கெம்பீரிப்பார்களாக; நீர் அவர்களைக் காப்பாற்றுவீர்; உம்முடைய நாமத்தை நேசிக்கிறவர்கள் உம்மில் களிகூருவார்களாக.

The Lord is righteous. The Lord is not pleased with the wicked but he is pleased with the righteous. Surely the Lord will bless us and shield us.

“For surely, O Lord, you bless the righteous; you surround them with your favor as a shield.” ~ Psalm 5:12 We should not fear anything because God will always protect us. He specially protects us with His shield so we need not worry but things but give them all up to God and He will take care of it

Psalm 5David’s attitude:
-(v3) In the morning I lay my requests before you and wait expectantly. (v7) by your great love I come into your house; in reverence I bow down toward your holy temple.
-The very first thing David has done in the morning is coming to the house of the LORD, and enjoyed every moment of being in God’s presence, seeking His guidance.
-This a great attitude that we might also want to exercise to experiencing God!

Psalm 5: Early morning prayer has power. Ver 3. “O LORD, in the morning you hear my voice; in the morning I prepare a sacrifice for you and watch. He is my protection and refuge.

7 நானோ உமது மிகுந்த கிருபையினாலே உமது ஆலயத்துக்குள் பிரவேசித்து. உமது பரிசுத்த சந்நிதிக்கு நேரே பயபக்தியுடன் பணிந்து கொள்ளுவேன்.- we find many things that are bad in this world, in the Church, within Christians, other denominations, other religions…but at the end, am I getting directed by Him like David?
