Mark5:6 You destroy those who speak lies. Lord help us to lead a truthful life
Psalm 6: Versus 1-7 mention David’s prayer. Versus 8-10 show how confident David was. He was confident enough that his prayers would be answered. Twice he points out, “the Lord has heard (vv. 8, 9).
Psalms 6:(v8,9) The Lord has heard my weeping, has heard my cry for mercy, accepts my prayer…because of his “UNFAILING LOVE”(v4)
He heard me not because of my love on him, it is purely because of his unconditional and unfailing love on me. Let’s serve our Loving heavenly Father.

Psalms 5:2 Hear my cry for help, for to you I pray
Psalm 6: We are saved because of his unfailing love (v. 4). Just like the power of the prayer is in the one who listens so the surety of our salvation is in the unfailing love and grace of our God.
“The Lord has heard my cry for mercy; the Lord accepts my prayer.”Psalm 6:9 When we prayer with a burden and God will always listen to our prayer!
Psalms 6 : The Lord has heard my cry for Mercy.

(V9) The Lord will hear our sorrows and accept our prayers.(v6) We should not groan or be sad, because the Lord is with us always and he will guide us with a shield.
Psalm 6- David’s hope in this Psalm is the unfailing love of God. David had a clear understanding of who God is. This term “unfailing love” in Hebrew is “hesed” which denotes to the loyal love of God.
Whatever might be our situations we can depend on our God for His love is steadfast, loyal and unfailing.
All my enemies shall be ashamed and greatly troubled; they shall turn back and be put to shame in a moment. – Psalm 6:10
3…But You , O Lord-how long? 8…Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.
9.The Lord has heard my supplication;
The Lord will receive my prayer.
– David was still in trouble while writing this Psalm. He was sure God has heard him and he was confident that God will answer his prayer.
– Pain is part of human life, sometimes it is longer than what we think. When in trouble, holding Him on, a little more time is what needed; little faith.
Because of his steadfast love ( hesed – an extremely important “covenant” word that saturates the OT) we can handle suffering. Through this Psalm, I find that during our own/others suffering, courage is better than knowledge, compassion better than courage and a little love of God is better than all. A heart swimming in the love of God can handle anything.
