Psalm 8: A majestic God, who is mindful of us. It’s incredible. The God who made the moon and stars cared enough for me to send his only son for me.
Psalms 8: Our Lord is sovereign and majestic, yet He is mindful of every individual and cares for them. He has crowned us with glory and honor. This Psalm teaches us that each of us is significant and secure.

All the posts are great! We live in times where most people believe that ultimately we are alone and no one cares for us. Sun, moon and stars are great and beautiful but thats all they are. They are just helium and hydrogen. There is no mind behind it. We are accidental creatures in a mindless world. There is no one above us.
The ancient David looks into the sky and sees a mind behind it. He sees a God of majesty. But David goes further. That God minds us. A God not just of majesty and power but tenderness and mercy. A personal God who is mindful of our fragility.
Many a times I have heard that we are made for a purpose in life. Sure. Very true. This Psalm says something more profound I think. We are not just made for any other aim. We are his aim.
Everything we see in nature is the work of God. Infants and babies (v. 2) and all creatures of the Earth (v. 7-8) themselves worship the Lord. We should worship God too for all that he has made and for all the dominion He has given us; we should not waste ANY opportunity, for “with great power comes great responsibility” (Uncle Ben). –
“O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth!” ~ Psalm 8:9. Our God truly is majestic because He created everything with a purpose and everything He created is good. –
What it means is how amazing God created the earth and that we should praise his name. –
Psalm 8 -(v5) You have made them (us) little lower than the “angels” and crowned them (us) with (His) glory and honor.
-We are His angels in the earth. Because we have His Spirit, He gave us His Spirit. The glory we received from Him is to Glorify Him. Are we glorifying Him?
-They (we) will be like the angels in the Heaven (Mark 12:25). Only if we Glorify Him, through His Glory, we will be glorified in Heaven, and we will be like “angels” in the Heaven with Him.
Psalm 8: We are like a grain of sand in all of God’s creation. But God still loves us.
