Psalm:49″God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave , For He shall receive me. Selah (v15)”
No one but only our Savior Jesus Christ can save us from our sins and set us free to live a testimonial life.

Psalm 49: Do not put your trust in riches (v. 6), rather trust in God who provides us with what we need rather than what we want. We may feel happy and people may praise us because of our wealth (v. 18). But, riches are transient. Our riches can earn a good life in earth but it cannot earn eternal life with Him.

Psalm 49:15 But God will redeem my soul from the power of the grave: for he shall receive me. Selah.

Psalm 49 reminds us that praising ourselves is temporary and useless as we will eventually perish like the beasts of the field (v. 20). Instead, we should praise God because he is Everlasting and is worthy of all praise. –

Psalm 49:10. We should not be proud and always money seeking in this world. After we die all that will go to waste. Instead we should do the righteous things which is eternal then always seek out the worldy things which will perish. – .

V15- God will redeem my life from the grave.he will surely take me to himself.

“those who trust in their wealth and boast of their great riches? No one can redeem the life of another or give to God a ransom for them—”‭‭Psalm‬ ‭49:6-7‬ ‭
The people who have pride in their heart and the people who are selfish can’t enter into heaven. So we shouldn’t be like those people filled with pride and selfishness. –

Psalm 49- This Psalm talks about our temptation to pursue riches of this world. Those who trust in their wealth(v.6) will lack understanding(v.20). Let us not trust in our wealth instead put our trust in God.

Psalm 49 -(v7-8) No one can redeem the “life” of another or give to God a ransom for them, the ransom for a life is costly, no payment is ever enough.
-No payment is ever enough, that’s why our Lord Jesus Christ gave His “life” as a ransom for many (Mark 10:45), so we can have eternal “life”.
-Without Him, without believing Him, we can not enjoy this special “life”!

Verse 13 is the deadliest verse in this Psalm and probably the deadliest for older generation who are reading it. Some will see this verse and instantly get it – man is foolish from start to end. His confidence is foolish. His planning is foolish. His pomp is just plain silly. His folly is the norm. Anything good is an aberration. Verse 12 hit me like a brick. Man in his pomp shall not remain. He is a vapor.
What can save human race? Who can break this chain of stupidity and our collective march toward the grave. Short answer: God and his grace.(v.15). We need God to come down to our Sheol. We need him to “receive” (v15). None of us can achieve.
Only Grace breaks the heritage of sin and pride.
The missionaries who enter a tribe to proclaim the gospel, a prophet who stand for justice, a prayer for a friend, a Christian who forgives and a God who dies. Only such supernatural events can ever bring us to hope. Those who reject God are sleeping in Sheol.
