Psalm 122: David expressed the language of happiness which is felt by those who love the Lord and His Sanctuary. His heart is drawn to the Lord and his soul is filled with peace. David would have gone to the sanctuary at 12:30pm CST to prepare the worship.

Psalm 122: David felt glad to go to the house of the Lord and give thanks to the name of the Lord (vv. 1, 4). Are we delighted to go to the house of the Lord? If “yes,” what delights us?

I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD. Psalm 122:1

Psalm 122:(v1) I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go to the house of the Lord”
The Joy that every individual gain in the house of the Lord, can never be attained in any other place. We all should experience his presence and be filled with his joy and should be inviting many others to experience the same joy that we have experienced in the house of the Lord. Experiencing HIS divine presence is our biggest Joy. This joy can not be described in words, it can only be experienced!

Psalm 122:8-9The Psalmist prays for the peace of family and friends and for the house of the Lord.

Psalm 122: 4Let’s go to the church as believers of Jesus Christ and pray for one another; so that peace will be within us and for others.

Psalm:122It is good and important for us to gather with God’s people for prayers, worship, and receiving of God’s Word. The gathering should be formal and ordered enough so that it is regarded as a gathering of God’s house, not everyone doing their own thing, but God’s people coming together for His glory and their benefit in His house.
If going to the house of the Lord is not a glad thing, the problem may be in the heart of the one who comes or it may be in what happens at the house of the Lord, but the problem should be prayerfully diagnosed and lovingly addressed.

Psalm 122 talks about the 1)place of worship-Jerusalem. 2)the purpose of worship-the LORD and
3)the power of worship-it brings gladness to the hearts of the worshipers.
what do we find in the house of the Lord?
1- In the house there is great joy
2- In the house there is much praise
3- In the house there is peace and security

Psalm 122 -(v1) I rejoiced with those who said to me, “Let us go the house of the LORD”.
-Are we going to the house of the Lord for “Fellowship, Fun, Food”, or to feel the presence of the Lord?!!
