1 Peter 5: Humility is becoming a rare commodity. First, Peter exhorts all of us to clothe ourselves with humility toward one another (v. 5). “God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble” (v. 5). Secondly, he exhorts us to humble ourselves under the mighty hand of God so that at the proper time he may exalt us (v. 6).
Humility is self-analysis at a distance. Distance is the key. Farther the better. Peter a betrayer, text book failure case of a disciple but who God selects to be the shepherd (v2) knows what he is talking about

1 Peter 5 -(v3) Not lording it over those entrusted to you (God’s flock under your care), but being examples to the flock.
-I think this statement is true to everyone (pastor, elder, ministry leader) that the power or authority is not misused and be a role model and a true servant to God’s flock.
