Psalm 37 focuses on the benefits of righteous living and also David assures us that Lord will reward righteousness with his protection and sustenance. “The wicked borrows and does not repay, but the righteous shows mercy and gives”. Psalm 37:21 we should live a righteous life, by trusting our God in any circumstance and wait patiently for him. We shouldn’t do what the evildoer a do or follow them in there way. 27″Depart from evil, and do good; And dwell forevermore”. 39″ But the salvation of the righteous is from the Lord; He is their strength in the time of trouble”. Psalm 37:27;39
Psalm 37 -(v31) The law of their God is in their hearts; their feet do not slip.
-If Word of God is in our hearts, our mouths utter wisdom and tongues speak what is right/just.
-If the Word of God is in our hearts our feet will not slip.
Psalm 37 juxtaposes the righteous and the wicked, focusing on both what the righteous will inherit as well as the destruction of the wicked. Honoring God leads to lifelong peace and joy. –
This Psalm means that if we trust in God and we listen to God’s word and do good, he will give us what our heart desires. –
“The salvation of the righteous comes from the Lord; he is their stronghold in times of trouble. The Lord helps them and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him.” ~ Psalm 37:39-40. God will deliver us and save us when we put our trust in him. – .
“Trust in the Lord, and do good”(v3)Instead of worry and envy, David counseled the man or woman of God to simply trust God and do good for His glory. It is remarkable how quickly we can get distracted from the simple work of trusting God and doing good, and often looking at the seeming prosperity of the wicked is one way we are often distracted.
