Psalm 80: Asaph prayed three times in this Psalm for restoration. While he repeated the same prayer three times, he approached God differently. First in verse 3, he simply called “God.” In verse 7, he called “God Almighty.” Finally in verse 19, he called “Lord God Almighty.”
Psalm:80Both for Israel and the Church this prayer has been answered in Christ. In Him we may be restored to God. In Him, the face of God is shining upon us in grace.
Restore us, O God; let your face shine, that we may be saved! – Psalm 80:3
V17 – 19 It is a wonderful prayer. It is relevant even today. We get distracted and diverted by many means. His hand, His பிரசன்னம் is a must to help us to come back and stay on the right path.
Psalm 80 -(v15-16) …and the branch that thou madest strong for thyself. It is burned with fire, it is cut down.
-This is what happen when we don’t remain in Him.
-If you don’t remain in me, you are like a branch thrown away and withers; such branches are picked up, thrown into the fire and burned (John 15:6)
