Ruth 4: The last chapter ends with lots of hope. Life for Ruth as Boaz married her (v. 13); joy for Naomi as she became a grand mother at her old age(v. 15); the best of all, salvation for the whole world as Jesus came in this lineage.
Ruth 4- The book of Ruth ends with a joyful note. Ruth was blessed with Boaz and Naomi was comforted through the new baby, Obed.
Ruth 4 shows how God chooses ordinary committed women for extraordinary purposes. This Moabite women would never had thought that she will be the great grandmother of Israel’s King, David. As long as we stay committed during life’s most overwhelming circumstances we are sure to see and reap God’s faithfulness. Praise be to God!
Ruth 4 -(v18-22) The Genealogy of Jesus was very interesting! Judah married to the daughter of a Canaanite man (gentile). Tamar was Judah’s daughter in law (Er’s wife), Perez the son of Judah and Tamar (Genesis 38).
-Boaz the son of Salmon and Rahab (gentile), Boaz married to Ruth (gentile), their son was Obed, Obed the father of Jesse, Jesse the father of King David. And, Jesus was called son of David!
-Could that be a reason why most of the Jewish did not accept Jesus as Messiah?!!
